Seven days. Four creatives. One of the first viral AI videos ever made.

During the July holiday of 2023, a silly shower thought—triggered by the prospect of Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg cage fighting—quickly turned into a challenge: Could a small team create an ad for a fake 1990s-style fighting game that parodied the absurdity of the moment before the news cycle moved on?

Just six months earlier, the answer would have been a resounding “NO.” But rapid advancements in AI suddenly made the impossible possible. So over the course of one holiday week, our team of four advertising professionals created a viral video that generated millions of views, inspired dozens of copycats, spawned multiple online articles, and even led to bootleg merchandise.

AI platforms and creative programs used:

  • Adobe Firefly

  • Midjourney

  • PlayHT

  • Adobe Premiere

  • Adobe After Effects

  • Discord

Tech Fighter Turbo was shared across all major social media platforms by hundreds of different accounts. The view count is currently in the millions and continues to rise.

Online articles about the “game.” Yep. People thought this thing was real.
